Have your say on the future of Local Government in Devon

Teignbridge residents are invited to help shape the future of councils in Devon as part of Local Government Reorganisation.

In December 2024, the Government announced plans to simplify local government structures across England. As part of Local Government Reorganisation, or LGR, areas like Devon – currently served by both district and county councils (a two-tier system) – are being asked to consider moving to a single-tier system known as a unitary authority. Teignbridge District Council (TDC) wants to hear from as many local voices as possible whether you live, work, study, or run a business in Teignbridge. What do you like about Teignbridge? What would you improve? What are the biggest challenges you think our area faces?

TDC are also running informal drop-in sessions throughout July to give you the opportunity to ask questions, hear more about the LGR, and share your views. The closest sessions to our parish are:
